The script will attempt to detect the problem by doing its own check at a faster interval than the Apple code. The script will also detect an actual panic but (unfortunately) dtrace is not permitted to delay the actual panic long enough to do something useful at that precise time. When the script detects the watchdog daemon in a stuck state, it will generate a spindump under /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports and show a message indicating as such. Try to use file stream normally and reproduce a crash.The terminal will need to be left open to keep the process running. Open a terminal session and run the command ' sudo dtrace -w -s watchdog.d' (including the path to the watchdog.d file is).Download the attached watchdog.d script from here:.Enable SIP without the dtrace and debug system blockers: ' csrutil enable -without dtrace -without debug'.Disable SIP with the following command: ' csrutil disable'.Once in recovery mode (this may require you to enter a firmware password if set up), proceed to Utilities > Terminal.Reboot and enter recovery mode by holding down CMD+R during the boot process (the Apple logo screen phase).Only perform this if you know what you are doing. This is not a fix, these are steps to capture crash logs of the issue.
